Warming up!

The SCHATZ®-ANALYSE System for testing screws and fastening elements has now been adapted for special test purposes, thus providing the possibility, as an option, of analyzing measurement sequences for torque, tension, thread or head friction, rotation angle, etc., on fasteners at higher temperatures.

In this case, the actual temperature is recorded together with the fastening sequence.

The system is equipped with a specific mechanical device that includes a thermal chamber for temperatures of up to 150°C. During the measurement sequences, the tension/thread-torque transducer, specially designed for these temperatures, is located in the thermal chamber.

The sensor can easily be taken out of the chamber and placed on the additional fixture for standard use for measurements at room temperature.

Of course, all the analysis possibilities of the standard SCHATZ®-ANALYSE System are also available in this configuration:
- total
, head and thread µ friction coefficients,
-
measurement range from
  M 5 to M 20 / 1/4 to 3/4 in
  5 - 1000 Nm / 3.6 - 740ft.lb.,
  10 - 300 kN, / 2200 - 67500 pound-force
- rotation speeds of up to 240 rpm.

Standard measurement channels such as total torque, thread torque, tension, rotation angle and temperature can be expanded with other measurement channels e.g. to measure elongation of fasteners. Due to its modular structure the system can be equipped with up to 30 measurement channels or modules to record all types of analogue or incremental signals.

A very high sampling rates enables the system to record fast processes. The automatic transducer recognition procedure prevents errors due to incorrect sensor selection. Active transducers (e.g. +/- 5V) or passive transducers (strain gage) can be connected to provide many types of analyses, such as screw elongation, temperature, etc.

Test procedures can be programmed easily with help of a programming wizard. Numerical and graphical results can be evaluated and customized using the powerful testXpert® software.
